EDUC 200 - Foundations of Education3 CR This course introduces students to the historical, sociological, philosophical, and legal foundations of American education with a focus on education issues and cross-cultural comparison. Special emphasis is placed on the professional responsibilities of teachers. Students are required to complete seven (7) clock hours of field experiences comprised of classroom observations in pre-K through 12th grade settings in public and private schools. A successful Central Abuse and Neglect Registry clearance must be submitted prior to completing the field experience. Lab Fee
Requisites: Next Gen ACCUPLACER® reading score of 244, or at least a grade of C in TSRE 55 or ENGL 151 .
