INRE 35030 - Buying a Wind System 0.50 CR
Once the site is chosen, all of the wind data taken, and sizing considerations are done, there is still more work to do. Individual products need to be evaluated and compared. Power ratings and specifications can be misleading and may need to be converted into like units of measurements for proper analysis. This module will give insight into the often confusing data vendors supply.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the safety requirements both in the design and application of a wind system.
- Install wind energy systems in accordance with local and national codes.
- Calculate system and component size based on environmental conditions.
- Demonstrate the proper use and operation of a wind energy system.
- Demonstrate the proper care and maintenance of the wind energy system components.
