INST 35020 - Electrical, Bimetal, and Fluid Instruments 0.50 CR
When working with temperature measurement, the Instrumentation Technician must be familiar with the different types of measuring instruments used. In this module, the student will learn about various temperature measuring systems.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Understand how the temperature control unit functions.
- Understand the fundamentals of heating and cooling fluids.
- Use a trend recorder.
- Understand the function of Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD) and thermocouples.
- Explain the function of heat exchanges.
- Accurately measure temperature.
