INST 25060 - Flowmeters, Solids, and Calibration

When working with flow meters, the Instrumentation technician needs to understand how they work and how to remove, replace, and install flow meters. In this module, the student will learn to service this equipment.

Course Learning Outcomes:
  1. Understand the fundamentals of venture tubes, rotameter, and differential pressure transmitters.
  2. Explain the function of a variety of different pumps.
  3. Measure accurately fluid flow.
  4. Solve fluid flow equations.
