INST 45040 - Control Element Application 0.25 CR
When working with instrumentation and process control systems, the technician will need to understand control element applications and process control system troubleshooting. In this final module, the student will put all the skills and knowledge to work that have been gained from both instruction and lab exercises.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Become familiar with different types of control valves.
- Understand how I/P (current to pressure) loops work.
- Install a control valve into a process loop.
- Calibrate a control valve.
- Understand the different control methods (i.e. pneumatic versus electric control).
