INST 25030 - Variable Area Instruments

When working with flow-type instrumentation, the technician will need to become familiar with variable area instruments. In this module, the student will learn about variable area instruments and how they work.

Course Learning Outcomes:
  1. Understand the fundamentals of venture tubes, rotameter, and differential pressure transmitters.
  2. Explain the function of a variety of different pumps.
  3. Measure accurately fluid flow.
  4. Solve fluid flow equations.
