INPF 75011 - Fundamentals of Boilers 0.17 CR
The pipefitting student will learn the basic fundamentals of a boiler. The basic operation and components will be explained.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Differentiate between high- and low-pressure steam boilers.
- Identify hydronic boilers, controls, associated equipment and pressure, and temperature range.
- List the four systems necessary for boiler operation.
- List the requirements for fire.
- List types of fuel used for boiler operation.
- Identify types of boilers.
- Explain boiler operation, safety requirements, and associated operating equipment.
- Describe repair and preventative maintenance techniques for boiler repair.
