INMT 70010 - Sine Bar 0.83 CR
The toolmaker, diemaker, mold maker, or machinist must effectively and efficiently set up and operate machines to produce precision gages, fixtures, tooling, and other associated devices. This module will provide the student with information and hands-on training necessary for the development of these skills and abilities as they apply to machining, hardening, and grinding a precision sine bar.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Develop process plans for producing machined components.
- Prepare materials, tooling, and equipment for a variety of machining operations.
- Safely use a variety of industrial machine tools to produce precision components that conform to design specifications.
- Assemble components into functional products that conform to design specifications.
- Use a variety of precision and semi-precision gages to verify machined components and assemblies conform to design specifications.
