INHR 70011 - Introduction to Supervisory Skills 0.63 CR
In this module, the HVAC-R student will learn the skills needed to become a supervisor. Issues related to leadership that is covered include gender, culture, problem-solving, decision making, and safety.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the techniques needed to develop supervisory skills.
- Explain better methods to having tasks accomplished by employees.
- Explain the importance of how the supervisor should model behaviors rather than simply dictating orders.
- Explain how the supervisor must develop soft skills and develop knowledge of human behaviors and potential problems in the workplace such as substance abuse, and safety violations.
