INHR 20051 - Troubleshooting Accessories 0.42 CR In this module, the HVAC-R student will be introduced to the procedures for recognizing, analyzing, and repairing malfunctions in HVAC accessory equipment.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Explain the different methods that heat is transferred and how it is accurately measured.
- Identify and explain popular heating equipment used in heating applications.
- Distinguish different types of fuels used in heating, as well as the basic combustion process of heating equipment.
- Describe proper appliance venting techniques and materials.
- Explain the proper procedure to troubleshoot gas-fired, oil-fired, and other types of heating appliances.
- Identify a variety of heating accessories such as the thermostat and other control devices.
- Demonstrate proper use of trade tools related to installing and repairing heating appliances.
