INEL 75010 - Introduction to Compact Logix® PLCs 0.25 CR
The student will be introduced to the Compact Logix® L31 PLC, its construction, and its use in industry. The student will also become familiar with the training equipment and the addressing nomenclature specifically for Compact Logix controllers.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Identify typical components of a Programmable Logic Controller.
- Explain the concepts of a Programmable Logic Controller.
- State basic PLC terminology and its meanings.
- Demonstrate the concept of electrical ladder logic, its history, and its relationship to programmed PLC instruction.
- Explain the purpose, functions, and operations of a PLC.
- Apply the status, input, and output data tables to troubleshoot and debug PLC programming and operations.
