DRAF 252 - Advanced SolidWorks®

3 CR
A study of advanced modeling, assembly, and drawing techniques using SolidWorks®. Sweeps, lofts, surfaces, 3D sketches, sheet metal parts, weldments, and assemblies will be created, models will be analyzed using simulation tools, and physical parts will be produced using the rapid prototyping machine. Requisites: Take DRAF 234 .
Course Learning Outcomes:
  1. Understand different forms of modeling techniques using SolidWorks in engineering and industry.
  2. Demonstrate critical thinking skills in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information necessary to problem solve the best method for modeling an advanced component.
  3. Construct advanced models and drawings using current technologies utilized in engineering and industry.
