CHEM 110 - General Chemistry 1 4 CR This course includes the following topics: atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding concepts, stoichiometric relationships, gas laws, periodic properties, acid-base relationships, some descriptive chemistry, oxidation-reduction, and an introduction to chemical equilibrium. Requisites: (1) At least a grade of C in one year of high school chemistry, or CHEM 100 (AND) (2) Next Gen ACCUPLACER® adv alg & functions score of at least 250, or 1 course from MATH 125 , MATH 130 , MATH 132 , MATH 140 , MATH 141 , MATH 142 , MATH 241 , or MATH 242 with at least a grade of C. - Interpret and apply formulas to solve problems.
