Program Description

Code 199 - 16 Credits

The Business Entrepreneurship Certificate program will develop the student’s entrepreneurial mindset and give them tools to identify and evaluate potential small business opportunities. It will prepare the student to effectively develop business plans and strategies for successfully launching a new business venture. The program is appropriate for students planning to start a small business, grow a business, or planning to play a role in a growing business through the application of business best practices. 

Program Learning Outcomes


  1. Understand, develop and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset  
  2. Improve essential business knowledge and skills, including management, market research, marketing, accounting, and the application of these topics in the business environment
  3. Identify areas of potential where business opportunities can be developed 
  4. Prepare a business model and business plan to launch or strengthen an existing enterprise
  5. Develop skills and strategies to successfully solve business challenges and leverage opportunities
