Program Description
Code 198 - 26 Credits
The Retail Management Certificate is a set of survey courses analyzing retail management in the areas of managing supply chains, legal and ethical behaviors, marketing selection and retail location analysis, financial reporting, merchandising and pricing, advertising and promotion, customer service and retail selling, and store layout and design. Emphasis is placed upon managing the daily operations of the retail industry. Cases and current events related to business practices are utilized.

Program Learning Outcomes
- The student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the multiple contexts of business including within the global and legal environment.
- The student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to apply ethics and social responsibility in a business setting.
- The student will be able to identify, explain, and apply generally accepted accounting principles.
- The student will demonstrate knowledge of office procedures and demonstrate technical proficiency in a business environment.
- Students will demonstrate effective communication to include receiving, interpreting, and sharing of information in the verbal, non-verbal, and digital forms.
