HIST 240 - African American History3 CR This course will focus on the African American experience since the era of the Civil War. Major emphasis will be placed on the background and development of the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s. An overview of the contributions of African Americans to American culture will be explored, as well as the sociocultural obstacles faced by this minority group.
Requisites: Next Gen ACCUPLACER® reading score of 244, or at least a grade of C in TSRE 55 .
