INTR 112 - Power Engineering Fundamentals 1

3 CR
Examines fundamental power engineering principles and practices required by the power generation industry. Develops technical skills working with steam systems, boilers, and boiler accessories. Additionally, this course examines boiler design and construction, fuel combustion, boiler settings, combustion systems, and auxiliary equipment. This course meets the standards of the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE). Lab Fee

  1. Explain boiler design and construction, fuel combustion, boiler settings, combustion systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  2. Perform power engineering calculations to related to boiler design and construction.
