BAS 130 - Professional Communications

3 CR
Designed to strengthen communication in professional settings, this course focuses on developing the ability to plan, create, revise, and deliver effective communication within business and industry. Students will employ the writing process to industry best practices when communicating with internal stakeholders, customers, and documentation. Additional topics include intercultural communication, non-verbal communication, and impacts of technology in communication will be explored. Lab Fee

Requisites: Take BAS 100   with at least a grade of C.


Course Learning Outcomes:
  1. Implement the writing process to plan, create, revise, and deliver effective verbal and written communications. 
  2. Leverage communication techniques strategically to facilitate effective interpersonal and team communications.
  3. Create professional documentation that align with industry, ethical, and legal guidelines. 
  4.  Plan, develop, and present effective meetings and presentations.
