INMT 140 - Surface Grinding 1

An introduction to precision grinding with surface grinders.  Topics include grinding wheel selection, grinding safety, maintenance, fixturing, and basic grinding operations.  Parts with ground faces, steps, shoulders, and slots are produced. Lab Fee

Additional Information: INMT 105   and INMT 130   are recommended prior to taking this course.
Course Learning Outcomes:
  1. Appraise the condition of grinding equipment.
  2. Produce parts with flat, ground features.
