Hospitality Management is a survey course relating to business, leadership skills, lodging operations, meetings, conventions, and special events. Effective leadership, customer service, sales and marketing, and financial management are some of the topics that will be assessed. This course is an excellent introduction to the world of Hospitality and Tourism management.

Course Learning Outcomes:

Describe the life cycle of a service encounter.
Identify skills an employee needs to be successful in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Outline the responsibilities of key departments in a lodging property.
Identify the legal rights and responsibilities of guests and the lodging property under innkeeper laws.
Identify employment laws that impact the hospitality and tourism industry.
