INT 45070 - Valve Stream Mapping and Set-Up Reduction 0.38 CR
In this module, the student will learn about two concepts that are part of Lean Manufacturing: Value Stream Mapping, which is a technique used to optimize the time while a product is in production; and Set-up Reduction, which is a method used in Lean Manufacturing to eliminate waste.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Describe quality systems and quality methods.
- Develop a quality plan.
- Apply quality management principles to manufacturing processes.
- Calculate the components of a Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Distinguish between common and special cause variation.
