INT 35120 - Robot-Tended Machining Center Workcell Integration 1 CR
In this module, the student will use all of the Robotic, PLC, and/or CNC programming learned to integrate a complete robot-attended machining center workcell. This is typical of the work that a manufacturing technician/technologist does while working for a robot integrator or an automated parts machining manufacturer.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the hazard associated with automated systems and how to protect themselves from these hazards.
- Define various terms, symbols, and abbreviations as they apply to automated systems.
- Recognize the different types of automated systems designs.
- Program a variety of different automated system devices.
- Perform maintenance functions on automated system components.
