INT 30120 - Speed Reducers 0.25 CR
Speed reducers come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. In this module, the student will learn about the different types of fixed and variable ratio speed reducers. A skilled maintenance worker will be well served by an understanding of the construction of speed reducers, the details of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical reducers, and how they accomplish speed reduction.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Perform maintenance functions safely.
- Describe the hazards associated with electro-mechanical systems and how to protect themselves from these hazards.
- Explain the function of different electro-mechanical systems found in manufacturing.
- Describe how lubrication systems function and describe their importance in equipment maintenance.
