INT 10020 - Principles of Non-Ferrous Metals 0.63 CR This module introduces the properties, elements, and types of non-ferrous metals commonly employed in metal manufacturing. In this module the student will learn the basics of the non-ferrous metal manufacturing process, the elements used to create non-ferrous metals, the main types of non-ferrous metals and their properties, and the common tests used to measure metal properties.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Apply general math, science, and engineering skills to the solution of engineering problems.
- Apply core concepts in Materials Science to solve engineering problems.
- Knowledgeable of contemporary issues relevant to Materials Science and Engineering.
- Select materials for design and construction.
- Design and conduct experiments and analyze data.
