INST 15050 - Pressure Lab 1.50 CR
The student will learn the basics of fluid mechanics related to the measurement of pressure. They will also be able to define the main characteristics of fluids, hydrostatic pressure, and Pascal’s Law. The student will also learn to use different pressure measuring devices which include a digital pressure gauge and a differential pressure transmitter in open and closed systems.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the fundamentals of a solenoid valve, digital pressure gauges, and differential pressure transducers.
- Understand the principles of pressure in liquids and gases.
- Solve pressure gain and loss calculations.
