INPF 35111 - Pressure Test and Leak Test 0.29 CR
The pipefitting student will learn different methods of testing piping materials and systems. These tests can be performed with air or water using test balls to isolate the section to be tested.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Examine plumbing licensing, plumbing and service piping code history, and plumbing and service piping code material.
- Calculate size for vent and drainage piping systems.
- Identify plumbing fixtures, appliances, devices, and their function.
- Contrast large and residential sewage disposal methods.
- Identify types of drainage vents and their function.
- Explain potable water protection, backflow protection, and devices.
- Define pressure, temperature, safety devices, and testing methods.
- Identify hot water generating devices, code requirements, sizing, and safe installation.
