INMT 20020 - Machine Tool Math 0.75 CR
The manufacturing worker must effectively and efficiently perform applied math functions dealing with algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. This module will provide students with information necessary for the development of these skills and abilities as they apply to use machine shop math to perform calculations in industrial settings.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Solve applied mathematics problems common to the machining trades.
- Accurately measure part features with semi-precision measuring instruments.
- Layout workpieces in accordance with design specifications using common layout tools.
- Analyze surfaces to determine tool patterns and roughness values.
