INEL 75040 - Creating an RS Logix® 5000 Program 0.42 CR This module will show the student how to create a simple ladder logic program. The student will gain an understanding of the XIC, XIO, and OTE instruction set used in the RSLogix® environment. The use of the branch instructions and the logic gate equivalents will also be explained.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Identify typical components of a Programmable Logic Controller.
- Explain the concepts of a Programmable Logic Controller.
- State basic PLC terminology and its meanings.
- Demonstrate the concept of electrical ladder logic, its history, and its relationship to programmed PLC instruction.
- Explain the purpose, functions, and operations of a PLC.
- Apply the status, input, and output data tables to troubleshoot and debug PLC programming and operations.
