HUSE 183 - Practicum in Human Services 3 CR Supervised practicum designed to provide experience in the integration and application of the knowledge and skills of the human service worker.
Additional Information: Departmental approval required. Students need to pass a criminal background check and may need to meet additional site requirements such as a health physical and a TB test if the section is scheduled at a human service site. Students are required to have their own transportation to an approved site, if needed. Requisites: Take HUSE 101 with at least a grade of C. Course Learning Outcomes:
- Apply knowledge, skills, and attitudes of an effective human service worker.
- Demonstrate an understanding of professional ethics and behavior as identified in the Ethical Standards of Human Service Workers.
- Assess and develop plans to effectively meet the needs of others.
- Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing.
