EMT 230 - Paramedic Advanced Practice 4 CR This course provides the paramedic student the knowledge in the transport of patients with special considerations and advanced EMT operations as prescribed in the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Paramedic Curriculum. Students will take a comprehensive exam at the conclusion of this course for certification by Kellogg Community College. This certification can be used as evidence of completion for the National Registry Exam (passage of which leads to licensing in most U.S. states).
Additional Information: Department approval required. Course Learning Outcomes:
- Students will understand the roles and responsibilities of a paramedic within an EMS system.
- Students will analyze patients suffering from special consideration emergencies and make positive choices to help the patient.
- Students will distinguish components of ambulance operations within an EMS system.
- Students will formulate the implementation of the incident management system.
