INST 20010 - Force, Stress, and Strain

When working with process control and instrumentation, the technician must be familiar with many types of measurement systems and devices. In this module, the student will learn how to measure force, stress, and strain.

Course Learning Outcomes:
  1. Understand how stress, strain, weight, mass, and motion affect different instrumentation processes.
  2. Solve stress/strain calculations.
  3. Perform positioning measurements.
