INHR 55021 - Planned Maintenance 0.83 CR
In this module, the HVAC-R student will learn the purpose of planned maintenance and outline the procedures for servicing gas and oil furnaces, electric heating equipment, cooling equipment, and heat pumps.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Identify and explain related HVAC-R components and supporting materials.
- Identify and explain belt drive and direct drive motor arrangements.
- Describe proper bearing identification, maintenance, and replacement.
- Create checklists for safe and proper preventive maintenance.
- Discuss proper tool selection and usage for preventative maintenance.
- Interpret and extract details from drawings, plans, diagrams, and equipment specification sheets.
- Explain a takeoff sheet and demonstrate its application.
