THEA 223 - Acting for the Camera 3 CR An introduction to acting techniques and thought processes used in video and film production with an emphasis on the language of cinema and hands-on, student-driven projects.
Requisites: Next Gen ACCUPLACER® reading score of 244, or at least a grade of C in TSRE 55 . General Education Requirement: Effective Communication - Applied Core Course Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of film history and technical vocabulary in relation to analyzing, scripting, shooting and editing film/video projects.
- Participate in exercises and projects aimed at honing one’s performance-based skill in front of a camera.
- Conceptualize, script, rehearse, shoot and edit are original short film within a group of classmates for public screening at KCC’s end of semester performance showcase, Mich-Mash.
