THEA 125 - Stagecraft 1 3 CR An introductory course in technical theatrical production including practical theory and applications of scenic design and set construction to include carpentry, prop construction, and scenic painting. Additional topics and experiences include elements of lighting, costuming, sound, and theatre business management. Classwork includes practical experience in conjunction with college productions.
Requisites: Next Gen ACCUPLACER® reading score of 244, or at least a grade of C in TSRE 55 . Course Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate an ability to identify and safely use tools utilized in a theatrical scene shop.
- Actively participate in the construction of scenery for a live KCC theatre production.
- Create a personal physical project demonstrating skills gained.
