MUSI 120 - Beginning Piano Class 2 CR
Emphasis is on the development of basic skills in music reading, simple transposition, chord and scale structure, and elementary accompaniment techniques. [0-48-48] Lab Fee
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Identify, and demonstrate listening and aural skill mastery in the basic area of the musical language.
- Demonstrate a working vocabulary of musical terminology.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify all keys of the piano keyboard.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the piano and its history.
- Demonstrate through performance the basic ability to sight-reading music.
- Demonstrate and articulate appropriate practice and performance techniques.
