EMT 205 - Pharmacology 2 2 CR This course is designed to provide pharmacological information on the remaining non-cardiac drugs, which a paramedic will experience in the pre-hospital and hospital setting. This course is based on the Paramedic Education program requirements as set by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Additional Information: Department approval required. Requisites: Take EMT 200 with at least a grade of C-. Course Learning Outcomes:
- Students will identify medications by the chemical make, generic name, trade name, and official name.
- Students will distinguish common pharmacological terminology and abbreviations.
- Students will be able to calculate a proper medication dose.
- Students will formulate a pharmacological treatment plan for a patient suffering from an emergency.
