CRJU 214 - PPCT Defensive Tactics 1 2 CR
Skills in pressure point control techniques, use of non-lethal weapons, and police defensive tactics will be developed. Appropriate de-escalation/escalation of force tactics will receive major attention.
Additional Information: Program Director approval required.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Verbally communicate with an uncooperative subject.
- Use the appropriate tactics and techniques to achieve subject control during arrest and confrontational situations.
- Write a well-written report that documents the officer’s use of force and the totality of the circumstances.
