ART 209 - Introduction to Studio Art 3 CR A studio course designed as an introduction to the art-making experience in the creation of a variety of 2-D and 3-D projects. Drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media fundamentals are explored. Lab Fee
Requisites: Next Gen ACCUPLACER® reading score of 244, or at least a grade of C in TSRE 55 . General Education Requirement: Effective Communication - General Education Core Course Learning Outcomes:
- Apply specific techniques with one or more common 2-D mediums to create art projects.
- Create art that demonstrates the effective use of assigned construction methods with one or more common 3-D mediums.
- Produce projects that illustrate the application of one or more assigned compositional elements and principles, such as line, shape, value, color, etc.
- Analyze projects using course terms and concepts through either self-reflection or peer critique formats.
