MATH 102 - Practical Algebra4 CR This course is designed for students pursuing a field of study outside of mathematics, science, and engineering. Mathematical application will be an emphasis and real-life applications will be presented in disciplinary and career context when appropriate. Topics include: a review of operations with integers and rational numbers, ratios and proportions, percent, solutions of linear and quadratic equations, graphs of linear and exponential functions, linear and exponential models, introduction to data and measures of central tendency. Prerequisites & Requisites: ACCUPLACER® arithmetic score of at least 100, or ACCUPLACER® elementary algebra score of at least 35, or TSMA 45 with at least a grade of C.
